ISLAMABAD: Prominent energy expert Khalid Pervez has welcomed Dr. Asim's statement of hiring professionals to accelerate working of energy sector.
Talking to Radio Pakistan he welcomed the statement of Advisor to Prime Minister on Petroleum, Dr. Asim regarding enrolment of professionals as managing directors in all the companies and organizations working for exploration of energy resources in the country.
While commenting on energy crisis of the country, he said "our economy cannot survive on imported fuel and we shall have to explore our own energy resources".
He added practical measures are needed to accelerate gas and oil exploration in the country and professionals are required for it.
To a question, he said law and order situation of the country is the main hurdle in exploration of energy resources and contract of exploration of energy resources with foreign companies should be signed after thorough deliberations instead of taking any hasty steps.
He hoped professionals can deliver and bring country out of the crisis if better working environment is provided to them.
