KARACHI: At least four people were killed in different incidents of violence in metropolis on Tuesday, police said.
A man was gunned down near Johar Complex in the limits of Sachal Police Station. Police said identification of the deceased could not be ascertained.
They said that the victim was on his way when unidentified armed men sprayed him with bullets.
Resultantly he died on the spot. The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.
In another incident, a man was killed when unidentified persons opened fire on him near Al-Karam Square, Liqauatabad area. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for postmortem. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained.
In yet another incident of violence, a man was shot dead in Korangi No-6 in the limits of Korangi police station. Police said unidentified armed men opened fire on a young man, killing him on the spot. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained. His body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, a man was stabbed to death near Civil Hospital Emergency gate in the limits of Eidghah Police Station.
Police said that the man identified as Adam, 35, was stabbed by unknown culprits. The suspects fled from the scene. The victim was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The motive behind the murder could not be determined.
