BUENOS AIRES: At least 13 people were killed Sunday when a tanker truck slammed head-on into a small truck packed with tourists in Buenos Aires province, authorities in Argentina said.
Witnesses said it appeared the driver lost control of the tanker truck and swerved dramatically before crashing headlong into the smaller vehicle which was full of people heading to Santa Fe province, to the north, local media reported.
Twelve of the dead were residents of the town of Juan Bautista Alberdi, police said.
