Russia 'will react positively' to US request for Trump-Putin meeting: Lavrov

SOCHI: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday the Kremlin would welcome an official request by Washington for a meeting between the US and Russian presidents at a G20 summit in June.

"If such a proposal is submitted officially, we will certainly react positively to it," Lavrov said after US President Donald Trump said that he expected to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin at the summit in Osaka.
