While majority of the people expected Samsung to launch the world’s first foldable phone, a Chinese firm revealed the phone before it at the CES 2019.

A not-so-popular Chinese company, Royole, showed off its FlexPai foldable phone at CES that can actually be used as a smartphone and a 7.8-inch small tablet. However, the phone still has a bit of software issues.

The phone packs a Snapdragon 855 chipset and features two SIM slots. It comes in either 6GB or 8GB RAM variations with 128GB or 256GB storage. The phone runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie and features an 16MP + 20MP dual camera.

As per Tech Crunch, despite the phone being a bit bulky, it’s still very easy to carry in a purse as compared to a normal tablet. When folded, the content moves to one part of the screen whichever the user is facing. FlexPai is already on sale for China costing 8,999 yuan (around $1,320).

Apart from the foldable phone, Royole even displayed a Bluetooth-connected, transparent, rollable keyboard that can be used on any surface. The entire keyboard can be rolled into a stick which is about as tall as a smartphone, making it easy to carry around.

Royole also showed off a smart speaker with a flexible display and a smart selfie stick containing multitouch sensors around the handle, wrote BGR.
