Pakistan v/s India match date announced for World Cup 2019
The much anticipated encounter of the World Cup 2019 campaign - the Pakistan versus India match - will take place on June 16 in Manchester, UK next year.
The match between the neighboring arch-rivals is hailed as one of the must-watch match during any tournament and the International Cricket Council (ICC) mostly pits them together in any tournament.
Interestingly, in their various marquee events, International Cricket Council has started with an Indo-Pak fixture in the past that is almost always a sell-out. It happened back in World Cup 2015 in Australia (at Adelaide) and at the recently concluded 2017 Champions Trophy in UK (in Birmingham).
"This is the first time an Indo-Pak match won't be a starting affair. Since the format will be a round robin affair [all teams playing each other like 1992]," said a Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official, quoted PTI.
