Chinese manufacturer Huawei recently announced about its first ever 5G enabled smartphone that is all set to arrive by late next year.

During the 2018 global analyst summit held in China, the company announced the news that probably company’s Mate 30 will be its first even 5G enabled phone and is expected to arrive by the third quarter of 2019, provided that this year’s model is dubbed as the Mate 20.

As per The Inquirer, not much was revealed by the company regarding the phone but, it did say that for the 5G smartphone it will use its own 5G modem. The company’s first 5G modem called the Balong 5G01 was released at MWC in February, which will offer download speeds of 2.3Gbps. However, this modem is unlikely to make it to the 5G smartphone as Huawei is working on releasing a 5G chip for smartphones, which will be available by 2019’s second half.

Moreover, Huawei also aims that there will be 1.1 billion 5G connections by 2025 and 200 million 5G-connected cars, reported Android Central.
