KARACHI: Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair on Tuesday said that the private organizations should cooperate with the government for better utilization of information technology.
He said this while addressing the 6th CIO Summit and Expo Award ceremony at a hotel here, said a statement on Tuesday.
The Sindh Governor said that strong foundation is laid to strengthen the economy of the country during the tenure of present federal government.
He said that Karachi is economic and trade hub of the country and restoration of peace and improvement in law and order has developed a conducive environment for the local and foreign investors in the metropolis.
He said that the world has turned a global village and the need of the hour is cooperation of the private sector and IT experts with the government for employing all available resources to effectively utilize information technology.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Chief Executive Officer CIO Kamran Saeed highlighted the aims and objectives of the CIO Summit and Expo.
He also briefed the participants of the summit and expo about the future projects of CIO.
Dean of IBA and Director, Dr. Farrukh Iqbal expressed gratitude to the Governor of Sindh for attending the ceremony and said the presence of the Governor in the ceremony is manifestation of the seriousness of the government to incorporate the information technology in the education curriculum.
Later, Governor of Sindh Muhammad Zubair also went round to the stalls which were set up in expo.
