The professional networking company LinkedIn has upped its video feature game by officially introducing video filters and text styles for its members, becoming another one to copy Snapchat.

The Microsoft owned company’s service rolled out its video feature last year. The feature allowed users to record and upload short clips on their feeds. Later, the company had already started testing video filters but for certain events only. The videos that the users shared inspired the company to expand its filter feature.

LinkedIn is entirely work related and does not seem to bring in some fun like the other social media networks provide their users. However, with its video feature expansion, the application will be less serious and more fun.

After LinkedIn, Facebook will now help users find jobs

In a blog post this week, LinkedIn unveiled three video filters, “Work High Five”, “On the Air” and “Side Hustle”. For the video text styles, only three styles have been made available, FifthAve, Plain and Geometric.

Where these latest additions would boost user’s video content, the platform has promised to announce more filters and text styles in the future. Meanwhile, in order to use the latest features, latest versions of the company’s application for iOS and Android is required.

To put filters and text on a video, the user would have to tap the video icon in the share box. After a video has been recorded or uploaded, the user can add a filter and text by simply tapping and choosing the desired creative tool on the top right corner of the screen. Elements chosen can be adjusted by dragging.

“We’re excited to see how you use these tools to express who you are and what you do,” stated LinkedIn.
