Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Gulalai came under the attack of rotten tomatoes and eggs by a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, before her press conference on Friday.

MNA Gulalai was on her way to a private hotel in Bahawalpur when a PTI woman leader began throwing tomatoes and eggs at her while she, along with others, chanted ' Go Gulalai Go'. In answer from Gulalai's side men chanted 'Go Imran Go', while Gulali did not react and kept walking.

However, later Gulalai said that they were her brothers and sisters  who were not at fault and were misled by someone, local media reported. The MNA was at the hotel on the invitation of Suba Bahawalpur Bahali Tehreek (SBBT) activists.

SC dismisses Imran Khan’s review petition against Ayesha Gulalai

Last year Gulalai had accused PTI Chairman Imran Khan, leveling serious allegations of moral turpitude and said, “Women are not given due respect in the party. Their self respect is threatened by the party chairman.”

On March 14, the Supreme Court dismissed a review petition filed Khan in which he requested the top court for a review of the decision made by the Election Commission of Pakistan in not de-seating Gulalai from the National Assembly.
