Higher medical education: Rajwana praises CPSP's services

The Governor of Punjab Rafique Rajwana said that the government is committed to provide quality healthcare facilities to people at their doorsteps and doing the dedicated efforts for that cause. He was speaking at College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) on occasion of the 50th Convocation here at a local hotel on Friday.
The Governor acknowledged and appreciated the services of CPSP for higher medical education in Pakistan. He said quality of medical education is hall mark of the CPSP and standards set by the college are recognised world over. He highly praised the bestow of CPSP as an honour for whole nation.
The senior vice-president of CPSP Professor Khalid Masood Gondal told that the CPSP had awarded 25000 fellowships in 74 specialties with more than 10000 memberships in 20 specialties to the doctors. In the convocation, the fellowships (FCPS) and memberships (MCPS) were awarded to 711 doctors, among them 608 Doctors were awarded with Fellowships (FCPS) and 92 with memberships (MCPS).
The Governor of Punjab distributed the Degrees to the Fellows and Members accompanied with President CPSP Professor Zafarullah Chaudhry and Senior Vice President CPSP Professor Khalid Masood Gondal. Medical experts from UK, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and other countries also participated in the event.
