KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 89,782 Tons of Cargo Comprising 67,100 Tons of Import Cargo and 22,682 Tons of Export Cargo during last 24 hrs ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 67,100 Tons Comprised of 42,990 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 3,222 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 5,037 Tons of (Dap), 6,457 Tons of Rock Phosphate, 319 Tons of Soya Beans Seeds and 3,105 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 22,682 Tons Comprised of 18,463 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 700 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 1,700 Tons of Clinkers, 319 Tons of Rice and 1,500 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
There are six ships namely Marine Ista, Stolt Norland, Ndl Ten, Sibi, KMTE Mombasa and Marine Xena at Berth at Karachi Port Trust.
Eight ships namely Southern Wolf, Seaspan Brilliance, NykFutago, Meghna Prestige, GFS Perfect, Geum Gang, Marine Ista and P Aliki sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
Port Qasim
Atotal of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them, a bulk cargo carrier ‘Abdullah’ left the port on Wednesday morning while another ship Gas carrier ‘Gas Aurora’ is expected to sail on afternoon.
A cargo volume of 57,733 comprising 41,367 tonnes imports cargo and 16,366 tonnes export cargo was handled at the Port, during the last 24 hours.
There are 10 ships at outer anchorage of the port, out of them a bulk cargo carrier namely, Silver Eternity and two more ships, Metro Mistral and Spirit Bertram carrying Coal, Mogas and Containers are expected to take berthsat PIBT, FOTCO and QICT respectively on Wednesday, 17thJune-2026, while two more container ships, Al-Bert-P and Nile Dutch Lionare due to arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday, 18th June-2026 and three more ships, MSC Mexico V, MSC Tia V and Hang Young Chang Shang are due to arrive on Friday, 19th June-2026.
