ISLAMABAD: The National Tariff Commission of Pakistan (NTC) has decided to initiate anti-dumping investigation against alleged dumped imports of Dextrose Monohydrate into Pakistan originating in and/exported from China.

According to the National Tariff Commission it has received an application under Section 20 of the Anti-Dumping Duties Act, 2015, on March 11, 2026, from M/s Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited, Faisalabad and M/s Matco Foods Limited, Karachi, who are producers of Dextrose Monohydrate.

The applicants have alleged that Dextrose Monohydrate is being exported to Pakistan at dumped prices from the People’s Republic of China.

According to the applicants, the alleged dumped imports of Dextrose Monohydrate from China have caused and are causing material injury to Pakistan’s domestic industry producing Dextrose Monohydrate.

Upon initial examination and scrutiny of the information and evidence provided in the application, in accordance with Section 23 of the Act, the Commission is satisfied that the information and evidence provided in the application is adequate and accurate as well as sufficient to justify the initiation of this investigation.

In the light of available information, the NTC has initiated an anti-dumping investigation pursuant to Section 23 of the Act. The investigation will determine whether Dextrose Monohydrate originating in and/or exported from China is dumped into Pakistan and whether such dumping has caused and /or is causing injury to the domestic industry producing Dextrose Monohydrate within the meaning of provisions of the Act. The Commission, during the course of this investigation, will seek further information/data from the interested parties, deemed necessary, for the purposes of this investigation.

The product Dextrose Monohydrate is classified under Pakistan Customs Tariff (“PCT”) Heading No. 1702.3000.

The investigation will be for determination of dumping from January 01, 2025, to December 31, 2025 and for determination of injury from January 01, 2023, to December 31, 2025.

All interested parties, as defined in Section 2(j) of the Act, have been asked to identify and register themselves with the secretary, National Tariff Commission. Any interested party applying for registration with the Commission in this investigation have to submit, the name of the company, its line of business, name of authorized person, address, telephone number, email, fax number etc. The NTC has asked the interested parties to submit their views/comments/ documents/evidence (if any), related to this investigation, not later than 45 days of the date of publication of this notice in the press in Pakistan.
