KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar said on Thursday that disabled job quota policy will be strictly implemented in Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and appointments on such posts will be on merit.
Initially, applications from disabled contractual employees of KMC have already been invited to fill the available vacant regular posts from BPS-1 to BPS-15 in different departments.
Akhtar said the regularization of service of disabled contractual employees will be made transparent and impartial to give the right persons their right.
This would enable disabled persons working in different departments of KMC on contractual basis to perform their duties with more zeal and serve the city.
The HRM Department has already invited applications from contractual disabled employees of KMC within 15 days along with the certificate of disability from the concerned department or institution and other documents.
