Wave of gloom pervades across country

A wave of gloom pervades across Pakistan following the tragic plane crash resulting in the death of all on board. PIA's plane carrying 48 people crashed Wednesday on a domestic flight from the mountainous northern city of Chitral to Islamabad. The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK661 crashed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Given the difficult mountainous or hilly terrain police and rescue officials were finding it extremely difficult to get to the site. To add insult to injury, the rescue operation became more difficult after sunset. It is quite interesting to note that PIA chairman has 'clarified' that there was no technical fault in plane, confirming that all 48 people on board had died. There are, however, reports that claim that the pilot had communicated to Air Traffic Control (ATC) about the malfunctioning of engine requesting for an emergency landing. The chairman must therefore clearly responds to such unconfirmed report if he believes that the plane suffered from no fault before it took off. Secondly but more importantly, if the engine failure is not behind the crash then what actually led to this disaster. This question needs a plausible answer based on objective and transparent investigations into the incident.
