Pioneer Cement approves 28 MW solar power plant at Punjab facility

Pioneer Cement Limited has approved the installation of a 28.265 MW solar power plant at its plant site located at Chenki, Jauharabad, District Khushab, Punjab.
The company shared the information in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday.
It said that the solar power plant was expected to be commissioned and commence commercial operations during the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27.

“This strategic investment reflects the Company’s continued commitment to operational excellence, sustainability and long-term value creation for its stakeholders and is expected to result in significant savings in energy costs.
The investment will be funded entirely through the Company’s own cash flows,” the bourse was informed.
