At least 24 terrorists killed in two separate KP operations: ISPR
- Says sanitisation operations being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored kharji found in the area
Security Forces killed 24 khawarij belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khawarij in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
The press release said that an intelligence-based operation was conducted on reported presence of khawarij by the forces in Orakzai District.
During the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location and after an intense fire exchange, 14 khawarij were killed.
“Another intelligence based operation by security forces was conducted in Khyber District. In ensuing fire exchange, ten more khawarij were effectively neutralised.”
The ISPR said sanitization operations were being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored kharji found in the area.

Meanwhile,** President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces and said that the war against terrorism resulting from foreign interference was continuing successfully.
“The war against terrorism will continue until its complete eradication from the country,” he said.
Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the professional capabilities of the officers and personnel of the security forces.
“We will continue the war against the scourge of terrorism until its complete eradication from the country.”
Earlier, the KP government reaffirmed its resolve to eliminate terrorism and restore lasting peace in the province, pledging to deploy all available resources, including the army, police, and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
The commitment was reiterated during the first meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee, chaired by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in Peshawar, according to an official statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Thursday.
“The chief minister underscored the provincial government’s unwavering commitment to utilise all resources, including the Pakistan Army, police and CTD, and stated that no sacrifice would be spared in the fight against terrorism,” the statement said.
