Forex reserves down $359m

KARACHI: The country’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves fell by $359 million during the last week.

According to the weekly report issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday, the total liquid foreign exchange reserves held by the country stood at $ 24.274 billion as on 24th December 2021 compared to $24.633 billion a week earlier.

Forex reserves down $275m

During the week ended, the SBP reserves went below $18 billion. Overall, reserves held by the SBP decreased by $298 million to $17.855 billion down from $18.154 billion. Net forex reserves held by commercial banks stood at $ 6.418 billion, down $61 million in a week.
