Pakistan former captain turned commentator Ramiz Raja has demanded the national cricket team to get Yasir Shah back from the Big Bash League (BBL) for the remaining One Day International (ODI) series with the New Zealand.

Raja was of the view that Shah would form a formidable spin attack with fellow leggie Shadab Khan against the Kiwis, who have easily fend off the Pakistani pace attack in the two ODIs.

“Get Yasir Shah over from Big Bash to bowl at NZ. With Shadab he could prove a great wicket taking option. Taking wickets is the only way to roll over rampant New Zealand batting at home. With Shoaib Malik now a reluctant off spinner and pacers getting a pasting more leg spin could be the answer,” Raja said in a tweet.

Shadab is all praises for Pakistan’s newly found hitting machine

Shah is currently playing at the BBL for the Brisbane Heat. He joined the T20 tournament after replacing fellow mate Shadab Khan earlier.

Pakistan would play the third ODI tomorrow (Saturday) at Dunedin, in a must win contest against the Kiwis.
