LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday as it shed 32.59 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 3897.04 and closed at 3864.45 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 1.566 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.040 million shares, showing an upward move of 525,400 shares. While, out of the total 93 active scrips 13 moved up, 28 shed values and 52 remained equal.
Dawood Hecules Corporation, United Bank Limited and Pak Elektron Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Re 0.95, Re 0.46 and Re 0.45 respectively.
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Muslim Commercial Bank Limited and Nishat (Chunian) Limited lost their per share value by Rs 1.30, Re 1.00 and Re 0.95 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Pakistan Tele Communication Limited with 480,500 shares, First National Bank Modaraba with 180,000 shares and Fauji Cement Company Limited with 176,500 shares.
