LAHORE: The bulls on Tuesday came back to Lahore Stock Exchange after two days of the bears, as the Exchange gained huge 132.12 points with the LSE-25 Index opened at 4117.09 and closed at 4249.21 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 3.050 million shares to close against previous turnover of 4.430 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.380 million shares. While, out of the total 97 active scrips 38 moved up, 50 remained equal and only 9 shed values.
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Dawood Hercules Corporation were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 4.45, Rs 2.99 and Rs 1.67 respectively.
Askari Bank Limited, Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited and Kot Addu Power Company lost their per share value by Re 0.25, Re 0.14 and Re 0.13 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 637,000 shares, Habib Bank Limited with 542,000 shares and Worldcall Telecom Limited with 443,500 shares.
