KARACHI: Pakistan’s spin bowler Saeed Ajmal has been nominated for three different categories for the LG International Cricket Council (ICC) Awards 2012.
Pakistani star bowler has been named for the ICC Cricketer of the Year, the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year and the ICC One Day International (ODI) Cricketer of the Year awards.
Other Pakistani players nominated for the awards are Shahid Afridi for ODI Cricketer for the Year, Twenty20 captain Mohammad Hafeez for ICC Spirit of Cricket and T20 Performance of the Year and Junaid Khan for Emerging Cricketer of the Year.
Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf and three-time winner of Umpire of the Year award Aleem Dar are also in the running for Umpire of the Year award.
