LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange on Wednesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 29.94 points as the LSE-25 Index opened with 3649.13 and closed at 3670.07 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.541 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.708 million shares, showing a downward move of 167,000 shares. While, out of the total 84 active scrips, 31 moved up, 48 remained equal and only 5 shed values.
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Lucky Cement Limited and Engro Foods Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 2.98, Rs 2.06 and Rs 1.65 respectively.
Faysal Bank Limited, Soneri Bank Limited and Pervez Ahmed Securities lost their per share value by Re 0.19, Re 0.10 and Re 0.07 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 278,500 shares, Fauji Cement Company Limited with 232,500 shares and NIB Bank Limited with 177,000 shares.
