KARACHI: Sindh government would spend Rs.800 million on provision of wheat flour to the citizens of Karachi at cheaper rate during Holy month of Ramadan.
Under this package eight million bags of flour weighing 10kg each would be sold at the rate of Rs.10/- per bag less than the market rate.
A meeting held on Thursday, presided over by Commissioner Karachi Roshan Ali Shakh, and attended by Additional Commissioner, Deputy and Assistant Commissioners, officials of food department, decided to setup 140 stalls in 26 subdivisions of five districts of Karachi. Besides, stalls would be setup at discount bazaars organized in the city.
The administration would also ensure that flour is sold at cheap rates at all the departmental stores in the city.
