Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reports its first death of doctor due to coronavirus

• The doctor had been on ventilator after he contracted the virus last week.

A senior doctor at the Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar passed away on Saturday after battling coronavirus.

Hospital's director Shehzad Faisal confirmed the death of Dr Mohammad Javed. He is the first doctor in the province to die of the virus. The doctor had been on ventilator after he contracted the virus last week, local media reported.

Dr Javed was an ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist and had been working inside the coronavirus ward of the Hayatabad Medical Complex.
