On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,750. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.069 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,104.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 5.003 billion, followed by crude oil PKR 1.161 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 693.237 million, NSDQ100 PKR 572.383 million, platinum PKR 563.862 million, silver PKR 354.639 million, DJ PKR 267.608 million, Brent crude oil PKR 149.927 million, copper PKR 130.275 million, SP500 PKR 97.197 million, natural gas PKR 37.999 million and palladium PKR 37.616 million. In agriculture commodities 2 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 0.960 million were traded.
