Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that his party has always worked for the rights of women and no one could stop them from Aurat March.

Addressing women convention in Lahore, Bilawal Bhutto said Pakistan Peoples Party has always worked for women rights. He said women should get 50 percent quota in every field. The PPP will always stay beside women for the struggle of their rights, saying that those opposing the march are of medieval mindset.

According to him, professionals like doctors, lawyers and the prime minister would participate in the march.

He said his woman fought valiantly against terrorist acts and the people had elected her twice into power despite passing fatwas (religious edicts) against her. Bilawal further said the PPP launched the famous Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) which benefited some 1.5 million women in Sindh.

Meanwhile, Bilawal also visited the hospitalized journalist Saeed Azhar at Services Hospital and inquired about his health. He termed his pen as an asset for the nation.
