APNS condemns 'Centralized Advertisement Policy'

"A meeting of the Federal Capital Committee of the APNS was held on Wednesday January 20, 2020 at Islamabad. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman Mohsin Bilal.

"The members of the Federal Capital Committee unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the implementation of Centralized Advertising Policy of the Federal Government. It was stated that the present system adopted by the PID will soon lead to disaster of newspaper industry. It will effect bankruptcy of print media houses and cause acute financial problems especially for medium and small sized publications.

"The members requested the Prime Minister Imran Khan to immediately suspend the implementation of the Centralized Advertising Policy and advise the Ministry of Information for meaningful consultation with APNS and other stakeholders for revision of the Policy".
