Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Preventive on Monday claimed to have seized considerable quantity of cell phones and liquor worth Rs. 5.8 million at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP).
According to details, MCC, Preventive on a tip-off intercepted a passenger namely Talha, who was coming from UAE via Dubai based airline. After his refusal to have any contraband in his possession, the department has recovered 53 cell phones and foreign origin liquor after thorough search.
The market value of seized goods is estimated to Rs. 5.8 million. Consequent upon recovery, the case has been registered and further investigation is in progress.
