Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Rai Babar Saeed has said that over 6,000 cops have been deployed in Lahore to ensure foolproof security during the Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day celebrations.
"More than 6,000 cops including six SPs, 35 DSPs, 84 inspectors and 322 upper-subordinates have been deputed in Lahore to ensure foolproof security during the Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day celebrations starting from today (Wednesday)," said the DIG while talking to the media on Tuesday.
He said that all the divisional SPs will personally monitor security measures taken for the safety of the Christians and the churches besides other important installations, adding that the security audit of the churches had been completed.
