Around half of the poor segment of Faisalabad is getting free medical facilities from dispensaries and hospitals established by local philanthropists that are also helping government by lessening patient's burden on public sector hospitals and dispensaries, said Rana Sikandar Azam President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI).
He was addressing an inaugural ceremony of 10-beds emergency of Surriya Majeed Trust Hospital. This hospital is being managed by Hajji Muhammad Adrees Chairman FCCI Standing Committee on Health.
President FCCI said that businessmen are generally very kind hearted and God fearing. They tried their optimum best to facilitate the poor segment of society. In this connection 100 percent free dispensaries are being funded by FCCI members where daily thousands of patients are being treated free of cost or at nominal fee.
He appreciated the services of Muhammad Adrees and said that he has devoted his life for the welfare of poor and establishment Surriya Majeed Trust Hospital is practical manifestation of his commitment. Rana Sikandar Azam also urged upon the other members to donate generously for the poor so that we could eliminate poverty from this city.
Hajji Muhammad Sadique Chairman Surriya Majeed Trust Hospital said that new and state of the art physiotherapy and dialysis machines have been installed to cater to the needs of the poor suffering from chronic diseases.
