HBL reports higher PAT

KARACHI: Habib Bank Ltd has reported a higher profit after tax of Rs 6.092 billion during the quarter ending March 31, 2012.

According to the financial results of the bank sent to KSE here Tuesday, the pre-tax profit of the company surged to Rs 9.849 billion during the period under review compared to Rs 7.691 billion in the same period last year.

The earning per share also improved to Rs 5.46 compared to Rs 5.50 in March 2011.
