Zardari launches development programmes for Okara suburbs

zardari okaraOKARA: President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday inaugurated a Sweet Home orphanage here and laid the foundation- stone of Benazir Educational City in the suburbs of Okara, aimed at benefitting the rural population.

The President inaugurated the Sweet Home in Okara's Wasawewala town, which will provide shelter to the orphans besides giving them support of boarding and education.

President Zardari laid the foundation-stone of Benazir Educational City in Haveli Lakha, which will provide education to the 1500 needy girls and 1500 boy students. The City will be the hub of education for the rural population.

The President was accompanied by Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Manzoor Watoo, Minister for Climate Change Rana Farooq Saeed, Minister of State for Interior Imtiaz Safdar Warraich, Chairman Pakistan Baitul Mal Zamurrad Khan and senior officials.
