Kashmir Black Day was observed across the Faisalabad Division to express solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to condemn the illegal occupation of the territory by India on October 27, 1947.

The divisional and district administration had arranged various programs in this connection. Kashmir Solidarity Seminar was held at Danish School Jaranwala in which Punjab Minister for Public Prosecution Ch. Zaheeruddin was the chief guest while AC Umar Draz Gondal, SP Tariq Sukhera, Principal Danish School Center of Excellence Col. Javed, Ch. Imran Yousaf, representatives of civil society and a large number of students were also present in the seminar.

Addressing the seminar Punjab Minister for Prosecution said that the Kashmir black day of this year was a great significance when the situation in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir were worsening every coming day due to the in human acts and continued lock down for the last 84 days and people of Kashmir had been facing acute food and medicine shortage and they were unable even to offer prayers at mosques. He said that it was sheer violence of human rights to keep deprived Kashmiri peoples from the right of self determination. He said that the struggle of freedom fighters could not be oppressed on gun point had India would have to vacate the illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the present govt. under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan had raised the Kashmir issue on every world forum with new spirit and determination and every Pakistani was the ambassador of Kashmiri brethren.

Assistant Commissioner Umar Draz Gondal, Principal Col. Javed and others also spoke on the occasion and condemn the illegal occupation and atrocities being committed by the India forces at held Jammu & Kashmir. They said that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri brethren would not go waste and they would achieve the independence very soon. They paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the held Kashmir and said that Pakistani nation stood with them in their struggle of freedom.

Later, a rally was taken out from Danish School to observe the Kashmir Black Day which was led by Punjab Minister for Public Prosecution Ch. Zaheeruddin.

Meanwhile, the Kashmir Solidarity Seminar was held at Jinnah Hall District Council under the arrangements of district administration. The seminar was presided over by Divisional Commissioner Mahmood Javed Bhatti while Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali, SSP Operation Syed Ali Raza, parliamentarians Faiz Ullah Kamoka, Firdous Rai, Latif Nazar, Shakil Shahid and others were also present in the seminar. ADCG Mian Aftab, DG PHA Asif Ch, AC Sadar Nazia Mohal, CEO Education Ali Ahmad Sayan, CEO Health Dr. Mushtaq Sapra, Director Colleges Dr. Muhammad Alam, Director Lyallpur Musiam Tariq Javed, other officers, staff of different departments, students and representatives of civil society were participated in the Kashmir Solidarity Seminar.

Addressing the seminar Divisional Commissioner Mahmood Javed Bhatti said that the 27th October was a black day in the history of held Jammu & Kashmir when the India illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir. He said that Pakistani nation could not keep silent over the Indian atrocities with the innocent Kashmiris and would continue support till their independence. He said that the objective of observing of the Kashmir Black Day was to take attention of world forces towards held Jammu & Kashmir situation and grave violation of human rights in held Jammu & Kashmir by India. He demanded the UNO to take immediate action of Indian brutalities and atrocities in held Kashmir.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali said that Kashmir was the integral part of Pakistan and agenda of the independence of Pakistan could not be completed without the independence of Indian held Jammu & Kashmir. During their speeches the Parliamentarians said that the struggle of the Kashmiri brethren had been entered in a decisive phase and the blood of the Kashmiri people would not go waste. They said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had delivered very courageous and brave speech on the floor of UNO General Assembly and raised the voice for the independence of Indian held Jammu & Kashmir very effectively.

During the seminar the national anthem of Pakistan and Kashmir were also played. Later, a rally was taken out from the premises of District Council which was led by Divisional Commissioner Mahmood Javed Bhatti. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali, SSP Operation Syed Ali Raza, parliamentarians Faiz Ullah Kamoka, Latif Nazar, Shakil Shahid, Firdous Rai. Officers and staff of different departments, NGOs, students, the citizens belonging to different walks of life were participated in the rally. The participants of the rally were carrying banners and placards inscribed with the slogans in support of Kashmir people. They also chanted slogans that Kashmir would become Pakistan. The rally ended at Katchery Bazar Chowk after passing through Khaleeq Qureshi road and prayers were offered for the independence of held Kashmir and prosperity and development of the Pakistan.

With a view to express solidarity with the Kashmir people on Black Day, the different programs were also held at tehsil headquarters. The national flag was remained half mast while black flags were displayed including banners and steamers at the important roads/intersections to observe the black day of Kashmir.
