KARACHI: Gold plunged by Rs 257 to Rs 48,171 per 10 grams in the local market Thursday as its international price dipped to $ 1,622 an ounce, market sources said.
According to Karachi Saraf Association official, tola (11.664 grams) price also plummeted by Rs 300 at Rs 56,200.
Silver closed lower at Rs 900 per 10 grams.
