TALLINN: Estonia's main oil loading port, Tallinn, handled 1.9 million tonnes of mostly oil products in March, down 24.7 percent from the 2.6 million tonnes loaded a year earlier, it said on Monday.

The total in oil loadings for the first three months of 2012 was 16.7 percent less at 5.85 million tonnes compared with the same period of 2011.

Fuel oil from Russia accounted for 70 percent of all the goods handled by the port in the first three months of 2012.

Total cargo handled by the port in the first three months of this year was 8.41 million tonnes, down 8.7 percent year on year, the port said in a statement.
