US Cash Grains-Dealers roll corn, soy, wheat bids; sales slow

CHICAGO: Grain dealers on the cash market around the US Midwest rolled their basis bids for corn, soybeans and wheat on Tuesday as the Chicago Board of Trade July futures contracts were in the delivery period.

* The July futures contracts for all three commodities expire on July 12.

* For corn, most dealers were posting their spot bids against the CBOT September contract. Soybean bids were mostly against the August contract and wheat bids were against the September contract.

* Farmer sales were slow.

* Cash prices were well below recent peaks, chilling growers' interest in making new deals, a northern Ohio dealer said.

* As of 9:36 a.m. CDT (1436 GMT), CBOT September corn was up 3-3/4 cents at $4.19-1/4 a bushel and CBOT August soybeans were down 2-3/4 cents at $8.87.
