Packages Ltd declares dividend

KARACHI: Packages Ltd has reported a higher loss after tax of Rs 1.567 billion for the year ending December 31, 2011 and declared a cash dividend of Rs 19 for preference shareholders (IFC) and Rs 1.5 per share of ordinary shareholders.

According to the financial results of the company despatched to Karachi Stock Exchange here Wednesday, pre-tax loss has also surged to Rs 1.475 billion during the period under review compared to a loss before tax of Rs 317.346 million in 2010.

The loss per share rose to Rs 18.58 compared to Rs 3.94 in the same period last year.
