Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships named MSC Maeva Chemroad Wing, Al- Thakhira and AL-Soor-II carrying Containers, Chemicals, LNG

KARACHI: Three ships named MSC Maeva Chemroad Wing, Al- Thakhira and AL-Soor-II carrying Containers, Chemicals, LNG and Diesel Oil were arranged berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Chemicals Terminal, Engro Elengy Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Monday.

Meanwhile, five more ships E.R Tokyo, African Turaco, Infinity-1, Shamroack Mercury and SC Hai Kou Scheduled to load/offload Containers, Cement, Bitumen and Palm Oil also arrived at outer anchorage in the Tuesday morning.

A total of seven ships occupied berths at PQA to load/offload Containers, Coal, LNG Palm Oil and Diesel Oil respectively.

Two ships Gas carrier Golar Maria and Bulk cargo carrier Equinox Dawn sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning and two more ships Container vessel MSC Maeva and Bulk cargo carrier Ionic Storm are expected to sail on the same day in the afternoon.

A cargo volume of 124,233 tonnes, comprising 107,425 tonns imports cargo and 17,233 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,199  Containers (TEUs), (1,929 TEUs imports and 90 TEUs exports) was handled at the port during the last 24 hours.

Six ships E.R Tokyo, Maersk, Pittsburgh, African Turaco, Yasa Ilhan and Hong Dai scheduled to load/offload Containers, Cement, Coal, Bitumen and Soya Bean are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-2, MW- 1, MW-4 and FAP respectively on Tuesday whereas a Container vessel MOL Grandeur is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
