EU 2018/19 soybean imports up 10 pct so far, soymeal down 10pc

PARIS: European Union soybean imports in the 2018/19 season that started last July totalled 11.8 million tonnes (mln t) by April 21, up 10 percent compared with the same stage last year, data published by the European Commission on Tuesday showed.

EU 2018/19 soymeal imports were at 13.9 mln t, down 10 percent from a year earlier.

EU 2018/19 palm oil imports were at 5.2 mln t, virtually unchanged from a year earlier.
