MEXICO CITY: Mexican copper production increased 12.8 percent in January compared to the same month a year earlier to 44,752 tonnes, data from national statistics institute INEGI showed on Friday.
Silver production jumped 24.7 percent, reaching 282,418 kilograms, while gold output dropped 16.1 percent to total 6,821 kilograms, INEGI said.
