MOSCOW: Russia's finance ministry sold 38.1 billion roubles ($579.57 million) of OFZ treasury bonds on Wednesday at the first auction it has held without setting a limit for its bond offering.
The finance ministry said on Tuesday it would not set a limit for the OFZ bond offering at its weekly auctions on Wednesday, fulfilling its pledge to scrap its usual practice of restricting the amount of bonds on offer.
