Similar to other social networks that have a feature to go live, LinkedIn too has jumped on the bandwagon and rolled out a new live video feature to let people and firms have real-time live video with users.

The professional networking site LinkedIn is rolling out new LinkedIn Live feature through which people and organizations can have live video chat to other users or organization within LinkedIn itself, reported Tech Crunch.

LinkedIn misused emails of 18M non-users to target ads on Facebook

The feature will be launching in beta in the US via invite-only for now. Focusing on interactive and timely live video streams on the platform, LinkedIn Live is aimed to cover conferences, product announcements, Q&As and other events led by influencers and mentors, office hours from a big tech company, earnings calls, graduation and awards events, and other similar events.

Despite being late to join in the race, LinkedIn believes that it is serious about its efforts and has selected few third-party developers of other live broadcast streaming services to work with creatives to push ‘more polished live video’ on the platform. It says it has also planned to announce more partnerships for bringing a high level of production to the livestreaming service, reported Mashable.
