peshawar_blast2_400PESHAWAR: A car bomb ripped through a Kohat bus station on Thursday, killing 10 people and wounding another 30 on the outskirts of Peshawar, a hospital doctor said.

The attack happened on the road towards the garrison city of Kohat.

"It was a car bomb blast. Twelve people have been killed and 32 injured, we are investigating whether a suicide bomber was involved or not," senior police official Kalam Khan told AFP.

"We have received 10 dead bodies and 30 wounded," Doctor Rahim Jan told AFP at Peshawar's main Lady Reading hospital.

Information Minister, Mian Ifthikhar Husain said, a blast near the bus stand at kohat road killed at least 15 people and wounded 35 here on Thursday.

According to the sources, the explosive of 30-45kg targeted the bus stand at the kohat road.
