SINGAPORE: Corn exports from Ukraine in 2012/13 are expected to rise about 15 to 20 percent to between 14 million and 15 million tonnes, an official of the State Food and Grain Corp of Ukraine said on Thursday.
By the end of September, the country's corn stocks are seen at 4.7 million tonnes, up from 1.2 million tonnes a year ago, the state-run firm's Andrew Druzyaka told reporters.
Ukraine's corn output in the 2011/12 year is expected to rise to 22.8 million tonnes from 11.9 million last year, Druzyaka, who is in Singapore to attend an industry gathering, added.
