The decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan allowing bail to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for six weeks on medical-grounds has spread a wave of jubilation among the PML-N workers.
The PML-N activists distributed sweets and expressed greetings to each other over this development. A group of the PML-N workers also reached the Kot Lakhpat Jail to express their feelings.
PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif also visited the Kot Lakhpat prison to see his elder brother. The PML-N workers chanted slogans on arrival of Shahbaz Sharif who remained there for about two hours and discussed some important issues.
Talking to media outside the Kot Lakhpat jail, the PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif said, "We are grateful to God who has been very kind that Nawaz has been granted bail. He will come home and we will make all arrangements for his treatment."
When a reporter pointed out that there are good news for him as his name has been removed from the Exit Control List; Shahbaz said, "The best news is of Mian Nawaz Sharif."
Responding to a question regarding treatment of Nawaz Sharif, the former Punjab CM said, "We will decide when he comes home. I ask all my brothers, sisters, supporters and Pakistani nation to thank God that Nawaz will come home after the court verdict and obtain his treatment. We are also very grateful to the top court," Shahbaz added.
A group of the PML-N workers also thronged the Raiwind residence of the former premier where arrangements are being made to accord rousing reception to Nawaz Sharif, a local leader of the party, said.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz has expressed gratitude the Allah Almighty for the release of her father on bail. Maryam Nawaz took to Twitter and posted a message to thank Almighty Allah on Supreme Court's decision of releasing Nawaz Sharif on bail.
The Supreme Court in its judgment, however, has not allowed Mian Nawaz Sharif to travel abroad for his medical treatment. The court, in its judgment, stated that Nawaz Sharif will have to give himself into custody after completion of the granted bail.
Moreover, Sharif family is pondering for the treatment of Nawaz Sharif within the country. However, it is question mark that from where this treatment would be carried out. Sources in the PML-N claimed that Nawaz Sharif after his release would focus on his treatment and would not indulge himself in political activities.
