The government has reconstituted the board of directors of Pakistan Revenue Automation Ltd (Pral) in pursuance of the decision taken by the Cabinet. Sources in the finance ministry said that the Cabinet has approved reconstitution of the Board of Directors of Pral. They added that ex-officio directors included the chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), member Information Technology (IT), FBR, member IR (Operation) and member customs operation. In case of transfer of the relevant members, the directorship of the company devolves upon successors.
Nominee directors included one officer from Ministry of Information Technology of BS-21 or above. Independent directors (six) included Syed Ghazi Ghazan Jamal, Syed Ahmed, Syed Javed, Syed Naved Amjad Andrabi, Hanid Mukhtiar and Farrukh Junaidy while chief executive officer will act as secretary to the board.
