On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,574. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.869 billion and the number of lots traded 7,369.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil PKR 2.036 billion followed by gold amounting to PKR 1.541 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 754.428 million, NSDQ100 PKR 656.867 million, silver PKR 227.039 million, DJ PKR 192.911 million, platinum PKR 157.666 million, natural gas PKR 98.332 million, Palladium PKR 76.071 million, copper PKR 73.027 million, SP500 PKR 47.001 million, Brent crude oil PKR 5.574 million and Japan equity index PKR 2.904 million. In agriculture commodities 34 lots of cotton valued at PKR 16.583 million and 24,425 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 6.423 million were traded.
