Member National Assembly Dr Mahesh Kumar Malani said that women of Thar would not have to go out of their home district for Lady Health Workers courses after the establishment of Midwives/Public Health School in Mithi, the Tharparkar district's headquarters.
"The PPP's Sindh government is in the process of establishing a Midwives School and with its completion, LHW courses will be opened for eligible women of Thar," Malani said, speaking at a seminar 'Preterm Baby,' jointly organised by the Mother and Child Healthcare, World Health Organisation, Poverty Reduction Program. The seminar was aimed at creating awareness on the causes of Preterm Baby that the organisers deem need of the time particularly in the context of the Tharparkar district.
