Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal's veteran politician Asadullah Bhutto Wednesday denied any affiliation with the Kisan Services, saying "I have never been on a board of directors of any company." At an urgent press conference at Idara Noor-e-Haq, former JI Sindh Chief Asadullah Bhutto told newsmen that he has no affiliation with the Kisan Services as the Citibank declared him a defaulter. "The Citibank should set its record straight," he added.
He resented the move of placing him on a defaulters' list as he is one of the top candidates of MMA for NA 242. "I have come to know of the news that my name is on a defaulters' list, as I have no relation with Kisan Services." He called his name on the defaulters' list a conspiracy.
He asked the bank to set its record correct or face legal action. "I reserve the right to take legal action," he said, adding that he has never been named in any of the decisions in cases against the Kisan Services. He also announced that he will spur the election drive after Eid-ul-Fitr.
JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman warned the bank to apologize to Asadullah Bhutto in two days or face legal action, saying his party remained spotless throughout its political career, laying down sacrifices for the city's peace and development. "The JI leaders believe in politics of services," he said, adding that "MMA is a big coalition."
